What we do

We work with everyone who is directly involved in the lives of children and young people and affects their upbringing, mental health and personal development. We:

• provide prevention and promotion of mental health well-being of children and adolescents
• educate about and de-stigmatize mental illness
• offer direct support to schools in educating children with mental health problems, children with demanding behaviour, pupils with learning difficulties and children/adolescents from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds
• support educators in setting up functional communication channels and offer educational support for pupils in need
• convey and transfer the Neurosequential Model © of intervention, which draws from the most up-to-date findings on the development of the human brain and the impact of negative childhood experiences on its functioning
• cooperate with the Østbytunet Centre for Treatment and Professional Development in Child Psychiatry in Norway
• share our experiences with the professional public
